‘the summer day’ by Mary Oliver so beautifully captures what I struggle to articulate about how I see and experience the world around me. In terms of being an artist and holding a belief in God.

For me it’s about finding the significance and divine in the mundane. Experiencing God not only through transcendence but through the everyday. Immanence in philosophy and theology is explained as the condition of being entirely within something. To dwell in and remain in. We do not have to look far and wide.

These new works serve as a reminder that to live a wild and precious life we do not have to be much, we just have to pay attention, keep asking questions and take more strolls through the fields.
